All the modules are 4.5m wide, which enables consistency between the modules so that they can ‘zip’ together in any range of combinations. The modules essentially act as the basic building blocks of the house, with plenty of variations and finishing options available.
Services module

The services module is typically central to a Te Whare-iti contains the kitchen, laundry and bathroom to centralise all of the required services connections.
The sunspace module can connect onto the side of the services module, and the variations shown illustrate how the kitchen could face in different directions to transform the way the modules are connected together.
Multi-use module

The multi-use module is a versatile living space that can be extended with a porch module or closed off with optional sliding doors. This module includes built-in joinery for accessible storage to create a functional living space.

One of the many features of the smart design of Te Whare-iti is the ability to expand your house by using a dividing hallway to add bedrooms. The small and medium bedroom modules show the dividing hallway between the multi-use space and an adjoining larger bedroom.
Sunspace module

The sunspace module connects onto the side of the services module, providing a space for a dining table, study nook, or extra floor space in the kitchen. This comes in a range of variations, with options for a built-in pantry, recessed entryway, or bi-folding doors.
Porch module

A porch module is typically built adjacent to a multi-use module.
The porch modules act as a covered entrance into the multi-use space and can provide an outdoor living area.
Link modules
Link modules are available in a range of sizes. Their primary purpose is to join two wings of the house at right angles. They also provide the opportunity for extensive glazing for views, extra living space, and storage facilities.
